Short Information: Voter ID, also known as Election Card or EPIC, is issued by the Election Commission of India to eligible citizens. It helps authenticate a voter’s identity during elections and prevents electoral fraud. Citizens who are 18 or above can apply online or offline for a Voter ID card through the National Voter Service Portal (NVSP).

Eligibility Criteria

How to Apply Online

1. Visit the official website: nvsp.in
2. Register using mobile number and email ID.
3. Log in and choose ‘Form 6 – New Voter Registration’.
4. Fill all personal details, upload documents.
5. Preview and submit the application.

How to Apply Offline

1. Visit the nearest Electoral Office.
2. Request and fill Form 6.
3. Submit form along with photograph and supporting documents.
