Overview

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the official notification for Stenographer Grade C & D and Junior Hindi Translator (JHT) 2025 exams. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply online at the official SSC website. The recruitment aims to fill multiple Group B and C posts in various ministries and departments. Eligibility Criteria

• Stenographer: Passed 12th Class from a recognized board.
• JHT: Master’s Degree in Hindi/English with English/Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as medium of examination at the degree level.
• Age Limit: Varies by post. Steno: 18–27 years, JHT: 18–30 years (Relaxation as per rules).

Exam Pattern & Syllabus

Stenographer:

• Computer Based Exam with 200 Questions – Reasoning, General Awareness, and English Language.
• Skill Test in Stenography after CBT.
• Exam Timing: 2 hours (120 minutes)

JHT:

• Paper 1 (Objective) – General Hindi & General English – 200 marks
• Paper 2 (Descriptive) – Translation & Essay – 200 marks
• Exam Timing: Each paper: 2 hours (120 minutes)

Correction Window

SSC will activate the correction window between 04 August to 06 August 2025 for candidates to make final edits in their application form. Only certain fields can be changed. Corrections must be submitted within this time frame via the official SSC portal.
