The Software QA Engineer – Windows Patch Catalog role is a full-time position for professionals passionate about security patch validation, metadata accuracy, and detection logic testing within modern Windows environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Validate patch catalog data (KB articles, severity, supersedence, product applicability)
- Test detection logic and deployment workflows for Windows OS patches
- Ensure patch metadata aligns with CVEs, Microsoft advisories, and vendor bulletins
- Maintain test environments across Windows 10/11 and Server 2016–2022
- Create and execute manual and automated test cases; log defects in JIRA or Azure DevOps
- Conduct regression testing for Patch Tuesday releases and other updates
Eligibility Criteria
- Strong understanding of Windows Update, WSUS, SCCM/Intune patching
- Experience with QA tools and methodologies (manual and automation)
- Knowledge of PowerShell scripting for automation/testing tasks
- Familiarity with VMware, Hyper-V, or VirtualBox for VM testing
- Bonus: Exposure to platforms like Qualys, BigFix, Ivanti, or ManageEngine
- Bonus: ISTQB certification or equivalent QA qualification
